Fifteen years into our marriage, I made a mistake that nearly broke everything my wife and I had built together. The guilt didn’t hit me instantly—it built up slowly, until it became impossible to ignore. Eventually, I told her the truth. Everything. Every detail. Every regret.
She didn’t interrupt me. She simply listened.

“But I don’t want the time we have left to be filled with punishment,” she said.
