The officer paused and glanced down the road behind her.<\/p>\n

There was nothing there. The street was completely empty.<\/p>\n

He looked back at her. \u201cThere is no traffic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Without missing a beat, Margaret gave a soft chuckle. \u201cWell then,\u201d she said, \u201cI must be winning.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer tried to maintain a professional expression, but the corners of his mouth twitched as if he were fighting a smile.<\/p>\n

He then asked for her driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

Margaret immediately began searching through her purse. What followed was a slow, methodical rummaging through what seemed like an entire collection of everyday items\u2014tissues, wrapped candies, receipts, old coupons, and small things that made it clear this wasn\u2019t a bag that had been cleaned out in a while.<\/p>\n

After a moment, she looked up apologetically. \u201cI may have left it at home,\u201d she said lightly. Then, with a hint of mischief in her voice, she added, \u201cBut I don\u2019t really need one.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer raised an eyebrow. \u201cAnd why is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Eventually, after some verification and a more thorough check, she calmly produced her valid driver\u2019s license. Her registration and insurance were also in order. Everything checked out exactly as it should.<\/p>\n

It became clear that there was no issue\u2014only a misunderstanding mixed with a very unusual sense of humor.<\/p>\n

Even the officers couldn\u2019t help but relax. What began as a routine stop ended on a lighter note, with a few shared smiles before she was allowed to continue on her way.<\/p>\n
