I will be honest. Had I found a weird object hanging in the attic, covered in insulation and buried beneath years of forgotten boxes, I probably would have assumed the worst.<\/p>\n
Not \u201cwe are going to lose our minds and flee the house forever\u201d worst, like something out of a haunted-house movie.<\/p>\n
But definitely the \u201cI am never touching that thing again\u201d kind of worst.<\/p>\n
Attics have a way of doing that.<\/p>\n
Something can be completely ordinary and still look strangely unsettling when you discover it in a dark, dusty corner. A cardboard box can look suspicious. An old coat hanging from a nail can appear to have somebody standing inside it. A rolled-up rug can look like it belongs in a horror movie. Even a handmade decoration can make you stop, stare, and wonder why it is sitting there in the first place.<\/p>\n
That is exactly why I loved this particular story so much.<\/p>\n
At first glance, the object looked bizarre.<\/p>\n

Someone looked at ordinary household materials and saw the possibility of something beautiful.<\/p>\n

Someone decorated it for Christmas.<\/p>\n
Someone eventually packed it away.<\/p>\n
And somehow, after all those years, it was still there waiting to be found.<\/p>\n
That’s the part that gets me.<\/p>\n
