I slipped the glove onto the bed and walked into the kitchen.<\/p>\n

Mason immediately recognized it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat’s Coach Daniel’s baseball logo.\u201d<\/p>\n

The investigator nodded.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd tomorrow morning, we’re going inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

He looked at me.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should prepare yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n

He lowered his voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause we don’t think that glove was meant to hide something from you.\u201d<\/p>\n

My stomach dropped.<\/p>\n
