I stopped the recurring withdrawals.<\/p>\n

I changed where my statements were sent.<\/p>\n

I requested copies of everything I signed.<\/p>\n

And I made sure that every future financial decision would be explained directly to me.<\/p>\n

Scott was upset.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter everything I’ve done for you?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n

I looked at him.<\/p>\n

He didn’t have much to say after that.<\/p>\n

The review of the previous transactions would take time. I wasn’t promised that every disputed payment would be recovered, and I understood that financial matters have to be handled carefully and through the proper channels.<\/p>\n

I could see my money again.<\/p>\n
